Byzantine Bracelet by MochiBunni
Byzantine Bracelet
On a tour of the Vikings exhibition at the British Museum one of the displays featured chainmaille jewellery. Amongst the set was a beautiful chain which was made up of circular links yet forming a square cross section.
I couldn't get it out of my head, so after a bit of internet research I discovered it was called Byzantine weave and with that info came the ability to find supplies and tutorials!

This green and gold bracelet is my first attempt at chainmaille, made of 1.2mm (16 gauge) anodised aluminium rings.
I used the tutorial at www.fusionbeads.com/Byzantine-… as the coloured diagrams made it a lot easier to figure out where to swap ring colours on my bracelet.

It's so satisfying to be able to make exactly what you want to wear!

Allegiance change! Farewell South London, I'm North of the river now (furs and boots prepped).

Trying to hold off reading Dance with Dragons (G Martin) as long as possible, hopefully until a release date for the next one is confirmed. I should put it in a box with 'in case of emergency...' on it.
To keep my fingers off that I'm distracting myself with new authors including Scott Westerfeld and Cassandra Clare, both of which I'm really enjoying (and I see they're currently casting a film adaptation of The Mortal Instruments). Waiting eagerly for Scott's next book to come out in paperback in August, but Clare and Pratchett should keep me going till then...

Incidentally the Leviathan trilogy (Westerfeld) comes with the most beautiful illustrations all the way through, they make you feel utterly spoilt, I wish more novels had them.

Hi there, I was just looking at your Yosuke cosplay and was wondering what warhammer colors did you use for the headset? I am planing to paint one my self but I'm not sure which colors to use.

I'm pretty sure they're Citadel 'blood red' and 'blazing orange'. They don't do a huge range of each shade so you can't go wrong.

Cool thank you so much. Oh since the headphones I'm getting aren't silver do you have a suggestion for a silver color to use? I was planing to use Mithril silver maybe.
